What is RoHS? Restriction of hazardous substances, abbreviated as RoHS, is a protocol many companies worldwide put into place in 2006. Why? Because when the European Union decided in 2003 to standardize the practice of minimizing or removing all materials that could be harmful, electrical and electronics companies had to comply in order to maintain business with Europe.
